Councillor Rondey Kuciuk

Councillor Rodney Kuciuk was born and raised in the Melville area. Raised on a small family farm 10 minutes west of Melville, Grades 1 to 6 was attended at Fenwood school, followed by Melville Junior High and completing my education at the Melville Comprehensive where I graduated in 1980. I was part of a committee that was the founder the Fenwood Rink in 1979 which was completed in 1980.This is where I played my hockey as we had a league which included two Melville teams. I was also a member of the Fenwood Recreation Board and the Rural Crime watch for the RM of Stanley. In 1985 I moved off the farm to Melville where I met my wife Donna and got married in 1988. We have 2 sons,3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. In 1997 our careers took us  to Saskatoon, then Regina and we decided to move back to Melville in 2016 to be closer to family,as Melville is home. I currently teach class 1A driving in Yorkton and my wife Donna works at Sask Crop Insurance here in Melville.

Since moving back, I was on the Regional Park Board, as the park is very dear to my heart since a very young person, playing my fastball there as Melville had a league and slow pitch games. This is my first term on council but with my business back ground with owning businesses and managing businesses throughout my career, I believe I can help keep Melville a successful place for business to come here and a great place to continue living here, whether its working and raising a family or retiring here. I believe the city and council needs to work with all forms of government including the Regional Park Board and municipalities to be a very vibrant and successful community. In my spare time I like spending time with family and friends as I love to cook and entertain, Fishing, golfing, going to the Mils games and we love travelling. I look forward to the next 4 years on council to serve the citizens of Melville, listening to your concerns and also your compliments.

Thank You
